The spirit of Disney can now be found in Hong Kong with the opening of Hong Kong Disneyland. Guests can stay in one of the beautiful new hotels on the property and enjoy all of the magical family fun that the attractions have to offer.

On September 12, 2005, the newest member of the Disneyland family of theme parks and resorts opened to the public. Hong Kong Disneyland is located on the island of Lantau, positioned to look out over Penny's Bay and the Chinese Sea. Started as a joint operation between The Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong SAR government, Hong Kong Disneyland brings the magic of Disney to a whole new environment, respecting the aspects of the culture of the country where it makes its home. The park boasts 2 glamorous hotels, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hollywood Hotel.

Hong Kong Disneyland has some of the attractions that will be familiar to visitors of Disney's other parks. Main Street looks like a piece of Americana transplanted, with the Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad for a trip around the park. There's also Adventureland, with the exciting Jungle River Cruise and all of the animal sights and sounds. Tarzan has made his home in Adventureland, where guests can take a ride on a raft to cross to Tarzan Island where they can visit Tarzan's Tree House. The culture of the Hong Kong region is also reflected in the cuisine served throughout the park. Two Taiwan female artists pledged to offer 25 million yuan (US$3.5 million) each to any one who can prove their involvement in the nude picture scandal that shows singer and actor Edison Chen in sexual poses with a dozen women in bed.

Jolin Tsai and Elva Hsiao, two singers who were rumored to have relationships with Chen, 27, both issued statements through their agent companies on Wednesday, saying any one who can come up with their pictures with Chen in bed can get the reward if courts prove the pictures are real, Sina.com.cn reported.

The nude picture scandal has shocked the world's Chinese-speaking community after more than 800 photographs have been circulated on the Internet since late January.

The pictures so far have embroiled seven female celebrities, including Gillian Chung of the female duo Twins and actress Cecilia Cheung.

Hong Kong police so far have found nearly 10,000 racy photos after they seized computer-related items and a laptop belonging to Chen last Friday, the report said.

Five more female celebrities were said to have been in the photographs, raising rumors that Tsai and Hsiao may be on the list, the report said.

"The rumors have hurt not only me, but my family and friends as well," Tsai said in her statement, stressing that she had nothing to do with the scandal.

The 28-year-old singer said her agent company will demand "unlimited" compensation if any media group reports Tsai's rumored connection with the scandal that "damages" her, the report said.

Hsiao also said she was never in a relationship with Chen and asked the public to stop "meaningless talk" about her role in the scandal, the report said.

Chen has already asked Hong Kong Customs to protect his copyright on the nude pictures and warned against any copyright infringement of the photographs.

The Canadian-born Chinese told more than 300 reporters at a news conference last Thursday that he decided to quit the Hong Kong entertainment industry after he finishes current projects. He also said he was "sorry to the women and their families" involved in the scandal and hoped he could receive "the public's forgiveness" and "a new chance."

Batu Pahat hotel - centre of attraction after video sex scandal

THE hotel in Batu Pahat, Johor, where Malaysian Health Minister Chua Soi Lek and a woman friend were secretly filmed having sex has become the centre of attention.

According to Malaysian media reports, the plush hotel, which has not been named, is popular among VIPs who come to Batu Pahat.

It is believed to be the four-star, 15-storey Katerina Hotel, which has 188 rooms, including six premier suites for VIPs only.

A pack of reporters turned up at the hotel on Wednesday and found it empty and quiet.

Apart from three or four front-desk employees and several diners at the hotel's restaurant, the lobby with two-storey high, marble pillars and beautiful staircases, was empty, reported The Star newspaper on Thursday.

A Chinese daily reporter said he tried to book the room in which sex video was secretly filmed but was told a guest had taken the room for one week.

The hotel's sales and marketing assistant, when approached by reporters, said he did not want to deny or confirm anything about the video.

Minister chose same hotel, same room for trysts Dr Chua, 61, admitted at a press conference on Wednesday that his 'biggest mistake' was 'to go to the same hotel and the same room' for his trysts with the woman.

'If you go to a hotel, you might think that his is just any other hotel room,' he said. 'But my biggest mistake was to go to the same hotel and the same room, thinking that it would be more convenient.'

Advising others not to repeat his mistake, he said: 'I won't be the first and I won't be the last. It is up to the public to judge me.'

Still frames from the recording, shown on national television in Malaysia on Wednesday, showed a man and woman from a camera above a bed. Copies of the video, which was stored on two compact discs, were dropped off last week at shops and on some streets in Johor.

Prime Minister Abdullah today declined to say whether the recording was politically motivated, although he promised to pursue those who made the tape. 'It was an invasion of privacy,' he told reporters. 'The police will conduct an investigation.'

Dr Chua said on Wednesday he did not make the tape himself, and said the unidentified woman in the film was in her 30s and a personal friend.

A 25-year-old man surnamed Wei was arrested on Feb. 12 for allegedly uploading 1,174 shots featuring Chen with female celebrities on to a chat room of the instant messenger QQ.com for downloads, according to the Internet supervision police brigade in Zibo City.

Wei allegedly provided links to the chat room at cbbn.bbs, a popular on-line forum, to canvas interest. Wei was detained and is awaiting trial.

The Zibo police said Wei confessed that he obtained the photos from another person outside Shandong when the pictures started to leak out.

The other man, surnamed Li, was given a ten-day detention and fined 3,000 yuan (420 U.S. dollars) on Feb. 15 for uploading more than 180 copies of the photos to his personal space at QQ.com.

Police in Tai'an, in Shandong, said Li, 21, provided links and codes to access the photos through his web page to solicit visits to increase its popularity.

The photos, reportedly copied by a computer repair shop assistant from a faulty laptop believed to belong to Chen, began to appear on the Internet from Jan. 27.

On Feb. 21, Chen made a public apology and announced that he would quit the Hong Kong entertainment industry. He admitted most of the photos were taken by him. "These photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone."
